Pinoy* Teach defies conventional content and pedagogy by merging multicultural education, teacher education, social action, and Filipino history and culture. In 1996, Dr. Patricia Halagao and community activist Timoteo Cordova developed Pinoy Teach to address the absence of curriculum about Filipino Americans in schools. While the title, Pinoy Teach, implies Filipino Americans researched and developed the curriculum, don’t be fooled. Pinoy Teach is not only about Filipinos. It’s about you, me, and our multicultural society.
