Dr. Rod Labrador is Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. His scholarly interests and publications examine race, ethnicity, culture, migration, and diaspora among Filipinos in Hawai‘i and the U.S. From 2000-2008, he served as the Director of UH-Mānoa GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs), a college access program that works in the Farrington School Complex.
